OUR RESPONSIBILITY & STANCE

At super.natural, sustainability isn't a fleeting trend—it's woven into the very fabric of our brand identity. We're deeply committed to the environment, our products, and the communities throughout our supply chain. Our merino wool is 100% certified mulesing-free, sourced exclusively from our long-term partner, Südwolle Group. As a world-leading yarn manufacturer, they adhere to the highest environmental and social standards, including OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and RWS.

SCIENCE BASED TARGETS: CLIMATE GOALS

In collaboration with our partner agency myclimate, we're actively pursuing certification from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) - a global program designed to help companies set ambitious, science-backed climate goals.

Our commitment is clear:

🎯 Aligning with the 1,5 °C climate target

The certification process for this has been successfully completed. Official listing on the SBTi website will follow shortly. This marks an important step toward a measurably climate-conscious future.

NEXT LEVEL MERINO: FIBRE OF THE FUTURE

Our foundational fiber has always been our proven super.natural merino blend: merino wool for natural comfort, combined with functional fibers for durability and easy care.

We also saw where we needed to improve: The synthetic component was previously not of natural origin. Challenge accepted! 

The result: BIO SUPER.WOOL — an innovative combination of 50% fine, mulesing-free merino wool and 50% PrimaLoft® Bio™, the world's first biodegradable synthetic fiber.

OUR PROGRESS: STEP BY STEP

For us, sustainability is a journey of continuous improvement. With every step, we consciously and effectively enhance our processes and products.

Here's how we're making progress:

✔ Plastic-Free Packinging: Since 2021, we've used certified, compostable polybags made from corn starch for our products. These bags fully decompose within 180 days under industrial conditions, leaving no residue. We also use paper-based solutions, like FSC-certified boxes for underwear and paper bands for socks.

✔ Responsible Materials: Durable and resource-friendly: We use environmentally conscious materials such as PrimaLoft® BIO™, the first biodegradable synthetic fiber, and recycled fillings.

✔ BIO SUPER.WOOL as a Milestone: Our innovative fiber combines performance with true sustainability: It's 100% biodegradable, produces 0% microplastics, and leads to reduced CO₂ emissions.

✔ Sustainable Product Expansion: Mit jeder Kollektion wächst unser Anteil an BIO SUPER.WOOL. Ab Fall/Winter 2025 bieten wir auch im Base Layer Segment nachhaltige Alternativen.
